Bilstein vs. Koni shocks on a 245 ?

Hi

The time has come to choose new shocks for my 245 and I have narrowed my options down to the Bilstein HD or Koni adjustable.

What I am after is a firm tighter handling ride but not a rough ride.
I plan to keep the stock springs instead of using lowered ones. This car will be mainly a highway/two lane blacktop driver but I will be going onto dirt back roads occasionally. Plus most highways and smaller roads are far from smooth like a race track. Hence, I guess what I'm after is sort of a rally type setup.

Has anyone out there put the Koni adjustable shocks in their 240?
How'd they do on highway and rougher roads?

Has anyone driven their bilstein/stock sprung 240 on dirt roads?
Wheel hop?

The car in question is a 1991 245. IPD sway bars, Cherry Turbo upper and lower braces, GT strut braces, and new poly/rubber rear bushings.

Thanks for any info and suggestions.

Bert
