760 sedan, will the $70 taillights(reproduction) work as well as the $170 o.e. lights? 700 1985

I have a water in truck issue and found my rear tail lights were passing water.
I ordered a set of the reproduction tail lights and like the price and the lenses look pretty good too. However, the circuit board and other attributes certainly don't match o.e appearence. I am replacing them both so they match. $140.00 is much easier to spend than $340.00 = if my water leak goes away!!
Any input is appriciated. thanks.
