First off, i'd really like to say thanks to everyone that runs and helps support this site, you guys have gotten me out of a bind on more than one occasion.
Anyway, I have an 86 240 wagon, b230f engine. I've owned the car for about a year, and i thought the lack of power was normal seeing as it's a four cylinder and a heavy car, but i drove my friends wagon and it's the same car only a year older, and i was suprised at the response and pick up it had. I figure that there has to be something wrong with my wagon. With the overdrive on it struggles to maintain a speed of 70-75mph. I know there's probably a lot of things that could cause a drop in performance like this, but i was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction and show me a good place to start.
I deal mainly with carburated engines, so my knowledge of fuel injection is minimal.
Also a different question i have is that i have a spare performance ignition coil that i intended to throw it in my 68 camaro. I was wondering if i could just put it in the volvo, they look rather similar, and i figure most all coils are the same.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
