Lightened stock-flywheel design 200 1979

Good evening friends,

I am planning on lightening the stock 21 lbs. flywheel on my slightly modified B21F engine, from which I expect approx. 140 HP. Safety will be my first concern in this flywheel mod.

The questions:

- I have seen photos of the flywheel design I am interested in.

It is 6-armed, from the flywheel having been cut out from the outside in, down to the disk contact-surface. The pressure plate bolts to the arms through the stock bolt-holes. I couldn't see wether the ring-gear was supported between the arms or not. Is any Brickboarder familiar/experienced with that design?

- I expect lightened flywheel + increased HP to make clutch slippage more
likely. Can clutch-pressure be raised by machining the flywheel so that the
pressure-plate sits lower?

Thanks in advance for your input and take care...
