I'd like to verify some of what I've read here. My new (to me) 1990 740 GLE has no brake lights. The following list is my troubleshooting steps:
1. Check fuse, fuse good.
2. Check for power at the stop light switch, good to the switch, when brake pedal is pressed, good on the other side. No lights.
3. Jumpered across the two wires on the stop light switch, no lights.
According to the wiring diagram, the next stop is the lamp failure sensor relay, and from what I've read here, with my current state of troubleshooting, that has become my most likely point of failure. Any thoughts, or am I pretty much on target?
