My lemon yellow wagon has been unused since 1999, when it simply died on the expressway at 60mph. It has a bad heater core, bad wiper motor in rear, needs a new wiring harness because the locks aren't working, has a bad steering knuckle and body rust on the bottoms of the doors and on the wheel wells. Although I spent hundreds trying to find out why it just dies, neither the volvo dealership nor the Volvo repair shop could diagnose the problem, which is a very scary one. the air mass meter has been replaced several times and noone seems to think it's the cause. Oh, it also needs a new catalytic converter, it's 4th or 5th, and a new muffler, on which I do have a warranty. Probably needs expensive pipes, too. Because neither service shop really wants to work on this car, I get the feeling it's not worth the expense. I would be grateful for any advice about this dilemma. The car has about 200,000 miles on it and always received excellent care. Thanks.
