Have a problem that began about two months ago and has been getting more bothersome.

The radio began losing power recently. The radaio (factory Volvo with cassette)will simply cut out as if it's been turned off. It will then come back on, for no particular reason. When it does come on, it doesn't have to have the security code entered, why, I don't know. Here's a kicker---I've noticed that when this happens to the radio, the outside remote mirrors don't work.

I've checked the fuses and they are OK.

Any suggestions or can I explain to my wife that "honey, I don't want to buy a new radio/CD, but the old one's fried"??
