I think that I discovered something about turbos ( for myself ? : ) ) -
I had a problem with a stuck trottle and the car was idling (intermittent) on RPMs around 1200-1500, when I opened the hood one night the turbo was glowing red even though I was not running the car on high speed or for extensive time on higher rpm.
Is it possible that most of the turbos are dying because of problems with the engine running rich and some non-fully burned gasses in the exchaust , going through the turbo and burning fully there?
Just curioous - if it is true than that's just another proof that a car is a complex system and should be treated/ analyzed as a complex suysstem , where everything depends and could interact with anything ?1/?!
