Ok, so my friend just bought a 740 turbo, B230FT engine. It worked the night we testdrove it, but the next day, no go. We're up in Waterloo, Ontario and it's been darn cold up here, but we put it in a garage that's kinda under a house, so it's right around freezing in there. The engine will turn over slowly, and with a jump it will turn at about normal speed, but won't start. We've checked the fuel pump and relay, thought the relay was bad, and bypassed it tonight. The fuel pumps both run nicely. we even checked fuel at the fuel rail--nice flow. We checked for spark in the spark plugs--just fine. So what is going on? The car is getting fuel to the injectors, which are running, sparks from the plugs, and the engine is turning with the starter. but no start. We're both completely stumped, and though this is my first time working on a 740, I've done piles of work on my '86 240...so I can usually figure out what's wrong...but not this time. Any help is greatly appreciated! thanks so much yet again in advance!
