Establishing baseline - K-jet 140-160 1974

Having since made things worse ... any tips on re-establishing the baseline A/F ratio on a '74 B20F with K-jet injection?

Where is is right now ...

- with the air intake hose off, it'll start but barely sustain running with the throttle at about 3/4. Throttle plate is at rest, with a slight gap of about a paper's thickness.
- with the air intake connected, it'll barely start, and sustain running at about 1500 rpm with the throttle wide open. At half throttle, it's "idling" at around 3-500 rpm.

Ignition stuff is all fresh (plugs, wires, cap, rotor; no points, it was previously swapped for a Pertronix). Compression is fine (140-150). Exhaust is free-flowing, single muffler with pipes bent from sch.10 piping.

Too lean, too rich, or just so way off that I'll just have to try everything?

-- Kane ... it all started when dad said "it needs more power!"
