Recomended tire size for 16 inch Hydras?

The FAQ has very good information pertaining to max. width tire for stock 15 and aftermarket 16 wheels. What is a good performing width for the 16 wheels. The wheels I have are 6.5 wide and the stock tire is 205/55/16. I still want to preserve comfort but have a wider tire can I go up to a 215?
