Brakes 200 1986

Hey people,
I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem.
I recently have done work to the front end which included new calipers, brake lines and rotors and everything is back together.
I sent away for a new pressure bleeder (Motive) to flush and bleed the brake lines. Not having a lot of success so far. I`ve bled all of the lines in the sequence for Volvo`s in the Haynes manual.
The Problem is that I`m not getting any pressure on the pedal while the car is running and, looking at the fluid reservoir on the master cylinder I can see that when the pedal is all the way up and I try to get pressure I get none and I can see a bubble in the back of the reservoir.
Other symptoms include a drop in idle speed when the car is running as I press the pedal and when the car is off I have brake pressure but the pedal sinks to the floor and there`s sort of a poof sound when it gets there.
So what am I looking at? The master cylinder was replaced about 1 and a half years ago. I`m thinking the booster since the idle drops when the pedal is depressed and maybe the rubber diaphragm is kaput. No fluid leaks.
Before I started this job I didn`t have this problem.
I`ve also followed the directions on the bleeder bottle which are pretty straightforward. No pressure leaks from the bottle, reservoir, or bleeder fittings either.
Any input would be appreciated as I`d like to wrap things up soon. I miss my car!
