Bought these on ebay back when I was trusting. Somewhere in the chain of possession, the din plugs had been cut off the connector cables--a condition about which the humorist who sold to me was...ahem...somewhat less than candid.
I figure I might as well use them to further my limited education in auto electronics.
Each has a shielded 6-strand cable, with green, blue, red, orange, and black wires therein (in addition to other wires/connectors for outputs and chassis grounds, etc).
Has anyone on the bboard info from dissection or internal wiring diagrams as to which lead is which in the 6-strand cable, or tips on what I should look at inside these beasts to narrow my guesses as to which is which? I have a soldering iron and a bunch of 6-pin plugs, but no education on this--while these units were cheap, I'd rather not fry a head unit testing them.
[Yeah, I know the conventional wisdom is that Volvo audio components do not trigger uncontrollable salivation among the audiophilic set, but then, if my taste wasn't all in my mouth I'd never have swapped my Packard convertible for a 245.]
Thanks, all.
