No start, no spark, no fuel 200 1986

On my '86 240 NA with 160K, after changing my timing belt I have a no start situation. Fuel pumps run if by I bypass the relay (less than 12 mos old) . Checked for spark with timing light and with insulated screwdriver while cranking. No spark either way. Power & ground to Control unit OK. Power to the coil OK. Primary coil resistance OK (1.2oms) secondary (12,600ohms)out of range of 9600-11600 ohms. I notice the plastic connection for the Hall sender is partialy broken inside the distributor allowing it to hang thru the dist. wall but the wires seem to be connected fine to the sensor within the dist. and at the connection. Power to the Hall Sender at term A, is OK. Would a faulty coil cause the system to not energize the fuel pumps when cranking and obviously not send spark to distributor?

Thanks in advance for any and all help, suggestions.
