Intermittent Oil pressure light 200 1987

My oil warning light came on a month or so ago. It came on during low idle, and then went out when the rpms increased so I wasn't so concerned. The oil looked low, so I did an oil change and the light went out - for awhile. After about 1500 miles it came on again, I added a quart, but I have the same problem. The light is coming on again at low rpm. I have about 195,000 miles and want to sqeeeze few more out of it. Any suggestions?
