I have a clutch that needs replacing. I have never, ever touched one of those things. I have fairly good mechanical skills and a decent set of tools, I could justify buying a centering tool too. Now, a) how difficult is the job, I gather that one thing is the sheer weight of the box? b) those of you who do this, have you got access to a pit or do you jack up cars? I am very nervous about that since a neighbour of mine way back damaged himself pretty badly when the car collapsed on top of him. I have a good hydralic jack and axle stands. Is that how you do it?
My incentive to do this is high as local dealer charges 500 dollars for replacing clutch, I also need to replace the reverse light switch and the tranny mount. Oh, if it makes a difference, my combination here is B230FT and M46.
