Has anyone tried making a heater fan resistor pack? 200

So I've lost my #2 resistor, but the fan sounds fine. From the looks of the wiring diagram it seems you could make a resistor pack, stick it line (#4) somewhere more accessible, and run the switch wires to it. I don't know much about resistors, but it seems easier than pulling everything apart to replace the original. What do ya guys think?
