dim instrument warning lights 200

Coming to work this morning my 84 244 GL instrument warning lights,(alt, lamda, parking brake, brake failure) came on. The lamps were not lit full if I pulled the parking brake that light would get bright. When I stopped at a red light the lamps stayed on even when I turned off the car and headlights. About a mile down the road the lamps went out. 5 miles later they came on again same condition. When I rev the engine the lamps get slightly brighter but not full on. Anyone got any ideas or suggestions. I will check the alternator and battery when the light is better this morning.
