Been playing around sorting out problems on my 85 760Ti, one of the major problems when I got it was that it cut out at high boost, after sitting undriven for awhile (was bought as a future project) the problem went away, yet the car is back in service full time now, and after replacing a particulay nasty 2 inch system (complete with tri flow muffler!!!) with a new 2.5 system (with nice streight flow muflers) the cut out problem is back even worse than before. (better exhaust more boost I asume)

now I asumed that it was the boost cut device as it felt rather factory when it did it, and after getting a cheap (way cheap) boost gauge it would seem I was right, but does the stock cut out point really cut out as low as 10-11psi?
I've seen a few people claim it does not cut till 12-14psi, but with my car it seems to be much lower, was there ever anything from teh factory stating where the cut out point was???

In the mean time I suspect someone has played with the wastegate rod on my car, so I'll be puting the boost back to the 7psi standard real soon (fingers crossed that it will be that simple), but in the mean time I'd just love to know what the factory cut out was supposed to be set at???
Although 10-11psi seems like a nice safe figure to me for a car that ran about 7psi boost...
