What type of sealant 900

Does anyone use a sealant on the paper gasket of the H20 pump? Also what about the rubber o rings. In the past I've used a little silicone on the rubber, and tack a gasket to hold the paper in place. After having two sets of gaskets leak I'm wondering if I should put something else on the gaskets.
