Help... I'm getting webbed feet..! 700 1989

OK...... I'm not, my passenger is. :-)

I have a 760 GLE saloon (1989), which has just come to me - and the front passenger side floor is suddenly getting really wet. The floor pan seems fine, so I don't think it is coming up from underneath. The carpet also is wet after a rainy night, which suggests that the water is coming down not up.

Anyone know if this is a common complaint/had a similar problem? Anyone have any ideas as to where the water could be coming in?

Living in good old wet Wales, I don't need a car which lets in rain!!
