93 240 no start- no spark 200

I checked one of my spark plugs against the valve cover nut and it doesn't spark when cranking. It is cranking but not sputtering or anything. THe car ran perfect before now. One other thing, this car never seemed to have a high idle, could this have anything to do with not starting? About to have it towed, going to give it one more chance. Stinks being in college and limited with few tools and knowing 13 hours away at home there is enough tools to take apart anything. Would a park switch for the tranny be doing this? Its auto. Thanks
