Hi Guys and Gals -

My 1984 245GL has the outside rearview mirrors that use the karate chop method of adjustment. I would like to install a manual post-1985 type, like the ones on my 1986 and 1988 - they are so much easier to adjust from the driver's seat.

Have you ever done this swap? Any tricks to pulling it from the donor car? Will it fit the hole in the recipient car?
