Cheap O2 sensors 200

A friend told me that a cheap replacement o2 sensor for 240's is to get
an o2 sensor for 90 Ford Mustang 5.0 and then swap the connector.

Has anyone tried this?

Does this work for 1990 240? ( three wire version o2 sensor )
