Warped rotors 900 1993

About six months ago I had new front struts (Bilsteins) and new pads and rotors installed. Work was done at an independent shop, with aftermarket parts. Recently, under any braking conditions, the rotors are noticeably warped; quite warped in fact. Volvo dealer says that the non-Volvo pads and rotors are the culprit. Is this so, or do the aftermarket struts have something to do with it also????
