K9800 working intermittently 200 1988

Hi everyone, I just replaced the gears in my K9800 and it worked fine for a few weeks. I just recently noticed that the speedo works about 80% of the time, dropping to 0 and then back up to speed. This is an electric speedo and I would like to know if there is a way to make that little ciruit board to have better contacts. I cleaned them before I replaced the instrument cluster and I could tell it was loose when I took it off. Anyone run into that problem?
