Have '86 740GLE wagon, may purchase '92 740 wagon - what to look for? 700

I have owned an '86 740GLE wagon for about 8 years, and it's been a very reliable car. It has about 250K miles on it now. I just came across a '92 740 wagon for sale, and I'm thinking about purchasing it to replace my '86 (before I start having to do a lot of high-mileage related work on it). How would the '92 compare to the '86? Any problem areas I should be aware of? The '92 seems pretty similar in most respects to the '86. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me!
