Rebuilding AW70 Tranny 200

My shifts are getting kinda longer and not as nice as I am used to. I have seen AW70 rebuilding kits that give you the plates and stuff for like 150 bucks, and was wondering how hard it is to do teh rebuild yourself, and what tools are needed for the job.

On the other hand, how much does it cost to have the transmission rebuilt by a quality shop? What are some good shops, and what was the life of the tranny like after the rebuild?
