Water leak ruining fuel pump relays....again 200 1984

Hello, I'd like to solicit some advice on a water leak into the passenger compartment of my '84 244 GL. Specifically, I have been noticing for at least a a month that upon returning home from the car wash (approx. once per week) the passenger side floorwell area underneath the rubber floor mat is moderately damp. There is a small visible leak through the windshield near the base of the passenger side A-pillar, but only a small trickle comes in at that spot. Water appears to also be entering from the front of the floorwell, and recently has been finding a way behind the kick panel on the right side of the floorwell, which unfortunately for me, is the location of the fuel pump relays. I changed both relays again today (second time in two weeks- obviously no more car washing until problem is fixed- shoulda, woulda, coulda learned this lesson the first time), and could actually pour a small amount of water out of both relays- not good! I'm planning to carefully re-seal the windshield with a new rubber gasket, etc. but am puzzled, and concerned, about the water that is reaching and damaging electrical components, not to mention the likelihood of rust development eventually. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Jeff
