Refinishing wheels with engine enamel.

Would it be bad to use engine enamel on wheels? I want a durable finish on these wheels and have the ability to scrub them clean. Additionally, there are a few engine parts I need to paint and would like to use the same paint (so I dont't have to buy a whole can to paint a foot of tubing). Could I use plastikote(sp) engine enamel?

PS sanded most of the curb rash off of the hydras-they look pretty good.
