I mentioned this problem before, but I figured it was just the thermostat that was the problem.
I've replaced my thermostat now and it's still doing it, basicly the engine seems to take a while to heat up, and when it does it sits below vertical on the gauge, and the only time it gets to where it's suposed to be is when your stuch in seriously hot slow traffic.
The gauge checked out ok, and I don't think it's the sensor, so I'm a little stumped now.
The only things I can think of are that it could be that the lower stone tray on the motor is missing, meaning it's getting too much air flow???
Or I still have the wrong thermostat in? just what is the correct thermostat for a B230ET?
Or perhaps the fan clutch is stuffed and is spinning to much when it should be backing off?
Either that or perhaps the sensor is faulty.
There seems to be too much movement of the gauge in general, from what i hear (and from my last volvo) the gauge usualy just hits 12 oclock and stays there, and mine tends to vary from one third to half/vertical.
To me that suggests the under tray or a thermostat that's opening too early?
Anyway, it's got me a little stumped, does anyone have an idea, or have had the same problem???
