Engine dies at different times 700 1990

I am having problems with my 740 GL wagon. It wants to die out at very unpredictable times, with engine hot or cold, sitting in a drive up lane or going down the road. We have had it kill out on us at intersections and taking off from a stop. After it dies, it takes 4-5 trys to get it going again. I have replaced plugs, wires, speed control sensor in the past month, fuel pump and filter a year ago, etc. Any ideas welcome.
