I now have the torque rods, panhard bar, trailer arms, sway bar, and coil springs off the car and will have a automotive machine shop replace all but the rear axle bushings this week. The car is on jack stands (rear jack points) with the jack supporting the differential. I disassembled in this order:
1) Panhard rod 2) Torque rods 3) Coil springs 4) Antisway bar 5)Trailer arms
1. Is there a preferred way to reassemble all the above making it as painless as possible or should I reassembe the opposite of assembly? I ran into 2 problems 1) the passenger side coil spring got trapped between muffler and chassis making it difficult for awhile and 2) the axle rotated or leaned backward and the differential was not level on the jack pad. It is level now but hopefully I won't have to experience that again. I'm concerned when I lower the axle to put the springs back in the axle will rotate backwards again.
2. The shocks are the original (I bought the car new) but with 133k miles I wonder if I should change them? Just how long are shocks generally good for?
Thanks
