Intermittent High Pitch Squeal on 95-960 Wagon - Help!! 900 1995

Ourr wagon has 99K mi on it and has developed an intermittent high pitched squeal. I will tell you what I know. It sounds like it might be coming from the dashboard or console or under the hood. Happens when the car is being driven or idleing in park. Not the radio. Not the heater fan. It almost sounds like an electrical component starting to fail (capacitor?) It happens on cold days, but not nnecessarilly upon start up. Last night we drove 10 mi before it started. It squeals for a minute or 2 and then stops. It may do it again but then it might not do it for another day or 2.

Ideas?
