Rough idle 900 1993

Lately when I first start my car it idles roughly for a few minutes. The tach shows the rpm's going up and down about 300-400 rpm's. The car sort of rocks and rolls back and forth. Once it stops doing this it won't do it again until the next day. Any ideas what this could be? Thanks in advance
