Question: Interior Lights and a Capacitor 200

Someone posted a few back about making the Interior Lights dimming out when you close the door. The first thought that came to mind would be placing a capacitor in paralell across the light bulb in the headliner. It would charge up with the door open and discharge with it closed. Only problem, would it backfeed the chime or anything else? It sounds a little too easy. Thanks.
