Hi All -
The PO of my daily brick (1986 244GL) told me that an attempt to open the car with a Slim Jim messed up something inside the RR door and now niether the inside nor the outside handles open it.
Great weather Saturday so I spent about 2 hours trying to open it. I used a coat hangar wire, carefully bent to follwo the route I defined by looking at the same door on another 240 but with the trim panel removed. No luck, found the connection to the inner handle and the outer handle, but not the pin on the locking mechanism that will hopefully do the job.
Another look at the no-trim door revelaed that the pin I need to pull up is dang hard to spot, much less pull on with a coat hanger wire fed in there by feel alone. I am trying to get this done without having to cut a hole in the trim panel, but before that I though one of you guys/gals had some ideas about another way to get the job done.
Many Thanks, you-all
Bob
