Hello,

My starter just went bad. --Well, that's what was diagnosed by an experienced mechanic. I've got an '84 244 GL that's wrecked, but the starter's fine. How would I access it to rip it off, and then how would I access the one on my '85 744 Ti to replace it? (as in, from underneath or above, what tools reccommended, etc etc)

They ARE compatible, correct? I read that Volvo used the same starters through '87. Right?
