Check your hangers! 200 1993

Not knowing my 240 so well I assumed the exhaust just hung low on these things. Wrong! I went under today to replace a missing hanger (the donut at the resonator) and was amazed how small the hanger was. Well, actually amazed at how much I had to push the exhaust system up into its correct place for the hanger to fit. Sure is nice how it REALLY fits! So sleak underneath now.

Problem is, all that "play" caused the the pipe to seperate from the resonator at the inlet there. Pushing and releasing the resonstor up and down (as potholes certainly did less gently) I watched the pipe go in and out of the resonator...not good. I do not have a welding shop.

So I puddied it! Whatever, if it holds great. If not, $2.00.

Just a warning to not let the thing hang out down there. The hanger that was there was useless, I could put it on as a belt it was so deteriorated.

Damn shame the shop I had do the cat a year ago was so lax. Oh well, live and learn.
