Have to replace the splash pan on my '80 245. I got a replacement one from a recycler, a good Metal one. I didn't know they made metal ones, but it seems like a better idea then plastic.

Anyhow, this looks like it should be a straightforward job. Any tips? I don't have a garage, or a jack stand, (but I might be able to get one). Do I really need one for this job?
