Having trouble getting a starter out of a 240 DL wagon 200 1983

I can't get the starter out of this thing! Have the 4 cylinder engine, 19mm nuts are a fraction of an inch away from the body of the engine, can't get a wrench on it at all, not even an open-ended(won't seat,) crow foot, or flare-nut wrench! Anybody have any advice? Is there a special tool?
