Next week is spring break, and, being the poor student that I am, i'm spending it at home. Rather than sleep the whole time, i'm hoping to get some work done on the car. Foglights, an oil change, and rust work are all on my list, but i've been thinking about changing the transmission fluid as well. I asked similar questions a few months ago (last summer, maybe?), but i'll ask again. here goes:
a method described to me was to jack up one side of the car as high as possible and cram as much in as I could. Which side? (i know i could find out myself, but i'm not next to the car right now) Why is this done? (just trying to understand) What jacking point should i use to best accomplish this?
What type of fluid to use? How much?
I'm not trying to start up the synthetic vs. non-synthetic debate again. . .just looking for a good reccommendation. if you tell me to use synthetic, is there a specific process for changing over?
Anything else to fix while i'm in that vicinity? I guess now is a good time to mention that it's an 87 245 with the M47.
I think this is all i have for now.
Thanks
