Front suspension bushings 444-544

I'm trying to put some bushings (the inboard ones) into the front lower control arm of a '62 544. The ones that are in there now do not have a center sleeve. they just look like rubber bushings with fat lips to keep the things from sliding out of the control arm. I ordered some new ones and they would appear to fit if I pressed out a sleeve in the control arm. However, I'm wondering why the new bushings have a center metal sleeve and the old ones do not. The application shows that these are the same bushings as fit in early 122s. Any ideas here? I'm wondering if I got the wrong part or if something has been updated since '62.

Thanks
