OK. Now what? I have a 1985 744 GLE that seems to hate the cold, as soon as the temp dips below -10C two things happen: I have difficulty starting it unless it has been plugged in for at least 30mins, and if cruising at low RPM and then I try to accelerate it sputters a bit until RPM's increase or I downshift. These two things only happen when it is cold and happen in conjunction so I am lead to believe they are related. These are the steps I have taken so far: -tank pump was replaced by shop just after purchase in Dec.
-checked plugs/dist./rotor/wires...all good.
-adjusted timing (helped a lot but not perfect yet)
-cleaned TB (again improvement)
-cleaned/tested IAC: all good
-tested O2: all good
-replaced ECT
What the H is it? This car runs like a champion with 311,000kms as long as it is above -10C. I don't want to take it to a shop. Please help. Thanx in advance.
Ryan.
