Urgent help needed: #5 fuse keeps blowing, door warning dinger won't shut up 700

Here's the background.

2 weeks ago I installed a new CD player in the my 740 wagon. I used the Crutchfield wiring harness, and did an A+ job installing it. Soldered and taped all leads, everything solid. It worked great for 2 weeks.

Today, my wife was driving and all of a sudden the CD player, clock, and associated stuff on that circuit went out. Simultaneously the electric bell that goes "ding ding ding" started going off and wouldn't stop.

Upon investigating, I discovered the number 5 fuse was blown. Suspecting the radio, I uninstalled it, unplugging the harness, removing the radio, I also unhooked the power antenna in the back. The number 5 fuse (15 amp) still blows, and that damn DING DING DING will not stop.

Does anybody have any idea what's going on here? What could have fried? I suspect some internal short inside the radio that permanently fried some component somewhere, but it's out of the car... I have no idea how to troubleshoot this. I have no radio, no clock, no dome lights. I can live without those things for awhile if necessary, but I can't live with that DING DING DING. Any ideas on where to look fr the problem? How do I unhook the dinger?

Thanks. Please help.
