Relay Redux (was Dangerous! My 940GL dies on the highway ... please help if you can.) 900 1992

I'd like to thank Chris Mullet, Don Foster, and Kevin Walsh for suggestions in fixing my stallout problem.

Instead of soldering the fuel pump relay, I ordered a new one from fcp groton for $14. I also put in a new mann air filter.

I've driven approx. 150 miles, and so far so good!

One concern though: Chris mentioned that when the car stalls and I crank it, I should see the tachometer quiver rhythmically. I never saw that happen. It does do a mini-jump when I stopped cranking though.

I never was completely successful in locating the radio noise suppression relay. It seems that every year, and in every model, they put the bugger in a different location.

On this car, I've had to fix so many small things like the power antenna and the power sunroof ... the more features you have, the more things can go wrong. Now I realize that the SRS seatbelt system needs to be serviced every 10 years, and it's been 11.

I get the feeling that makers of luxury cars put in all these features because when things start going wrong, the owner will just trade in the old one for something new. Is that too cynical?
