Starts, but won't run 200 1984

Last Saturday, I drove my 245 DL home from a friend's house and everything was fine, but when I tried starting it to leave for work, it sputtered and backfired, and when I finally got it to start, it would just die. I replaced the plugs, cap, rotor, and fuel filter. Now it starts much easier, but still won't stay running. Even if you give it gas, it will rev up, then die. When I unplug the AMM, it will stay running, but with an intermittent idle. As soon as I plug it back in, the engine slows down and dies. What's wrong with my car?
