removal of door panel while door is closed??? 200 1987

Ive got a 1987 245dl and heres my problem. Just yesterday the door lock for the rear left passenger door got stuck in the locked position. Something is keeping the doorlock knob from lifting completely up. I decided to take off the door panel to see what was jammed. Well, I realized i dont know how to remove the door panel while the door is shut. I cant open the door because it is stuck in locked position. Is it possible to remove the door panel while the door is closed? what should i do? Thanks a bunch,
