Seat belt replacement 700 1989

The RH rear passenger's seat belt in my '89 745 is frayed for about half its width, right where it corsses the passenger's shoulder, and doesn't look safe apart from being annoying. Anyone know of a cost-effective fix, or is it best to spring for a new one?
