After reading the answers to teh last post I thought I stood corrected, and I do, there isn't a 220 emblem in place of the 121S etc.. emblem. On the wagon that stays in place and still designates 121 etc.. However after looking in my original parts catalogue for the P-120, P130, P220 series, I found part# 666644-0.At/his point only trivia buffs should continue. According to the cat., up chassis 1399 the 220 sported a 221 emblem above the chrome strip at the aft section of left front fender. From 1400-17949 they were badged 121 or 122S in the same place and it was only 17950- on that they started positioning the emblems below the chrome strip. Since I have a later wagon I guess I don't need the 221 emblem (and since I have a twin carb B18D it doesn't apply anyhow.
I've never seen an emblem displayed above the trim strip and 1399 was a long time ago and probably never exported to N.A. I probably never will. But since we're on the subject . What year was the 1399 (220) chassis built? I know it's pre 1966 because post 66 the # all started with 1 or 2 designating L or R hand drive. as you can tell this is a slow week for me, building season hasn't really gotten into gear yet, not for me anyhow, it,s still too cold out. patrick of montreal, ('68 220, '83 245).
